How do you order decimal numbers?
Ordering means putting numbers in order, for example from smallest to largest.
With decimal numbers, first compare the whole part. If that is the same, then look after the decimal point from left to right.
You can imagine zeros at the end to compare fairly: 2,4 can be read as 2,40.
- Order the numbersCompare the numbers from left to right and then put them in ascending order.
Put 2,4, 2,09 and 2,37 in order from smallest to largest.
- Order the numbersFrom smallest to largest: 2,09, 2,37, 2,4.
